Dancing & Drinking Society - Wednesday 25th 7:30 pm onwards
Wellington's premiere Swing Blues Band consists of the talents of Dan
Yeabsley, Nils Olsen, Mat En. Putting a greasy New Orleans feel on
guitar, banjo, trumpet, clarinet, sax or whatever else they feel like
playing. Their versions of standards like St James Infirmary are played
straight enough for the easy listeners, but with enough feel and
virtuosity for the enthusiast.
NRJ Trio - Friday 27th 7:00 pm onwards
NRJ takes jazz songs you know but not as you know them! They bring
their sophisticated style to these hits and will be sure to impress.
Tineke Jennings fronts NRJ on vocals, flute, and percussion, with
Jeremy Winter on keyboards and Murray Costello on electric upright
bass.
