Ōtautahi’s very own ‘may-c’ is returning home for a very special one-night-only show at the darkroom on October 23rd, raising funds for her debut EP.
Although may-c is newer to the artist scene in Aotearoa she has accumulated about 25k streams over two single releases and over 15k listeners since April. Known for her cheeky yet heartfelt lyricism, raw vocals and interactive stage presence, may-c is an upcoming artist who you simply don’t want to miss.
Supporting her we have Big John’s House hailing from Ōtautahi. BJH is known well throughout the music scene in Christchurch for their impressive indie sound. Releasing ‘ruby’s song’ their second single earlier this year.
Opening up the evening we have Tāmaki Makaurau’s very own Maria Clara who is flying down just for this occasion. Her lyricism falls nothing short of extraordinary especially in her recent song ‘guess’ which released in June this year.
For those feeling generous we have also added an option for a little extra help towards the funding of the EP.
