Australia's most famous poet, Banjo Paterson, was also a war correspondent and presented three lectures on the Boer War in Christchurch in November 1900.
Three-times Australian champion bush poet GREGORY NORTH will be presenting the Life & Rhymes of Banjo Paterson - an extended version of a show performed by Greg for nine years in Winton, Queensland - the birthplace of Waltzing Matilda. The show features visuals, facts and poetry - a must for any Banjo Paterson fan.
It's part of Greg's re-enactment of Banjo's lecture tour to around 50 towns through four states and New Zealand, including Wellington, on the 125th anniversary of Banjo's presentations.
