Weekly Round Up: Friday 21st October

Friday 21st October, 2016 4:29PM

This week in tour news, we were delighted to announce alt-folk musician Nadia Reid will be undertaking a five-date nationwide tour next month following her return from a successful jaunt through Europe and the UK. Also returning home for a tour next month is electro-pop artist Madeira to celebrate the release of her Bad Humours EP. Bernie Griffen and his partner-in-crime Kirsten Warner have lined up a whole raft of dates around the country for November and December, during which they will be joined by The Thin Men. Iconic kiwi act The Mockers are banding together for a nine-date reunion tour in the new year. And from further abroad, Grammy award winning musician James Taylor is returning to these shores for two shows in February. And American hardcore punk crew H2O are making their way here for the first time ever in March.

In release news, we were super lucky to play host to some wonderful new offerings. Earlier this week we premiered the new video from The Eversons for their single 'Good At Making Enemies', lifted from the upcoming album Stuck In New Zealand. We were also stoked to present the larger-than-life new single 'Elizabeth, I've Been A Fool' from Sal Valentine and The Babyshakes. We also got our hot little hands on the homemade video from Bic Runga for her gorgeous offering 'Close Your Eyes', plucked from her upcoming album of the same name. And we were very happy to wrap our ears from the new album Almost Tropical from our Berlin-based friend Aporia.

This week's Caught Live is an awesome clip of Auckland trio Rackets filmed for The Grow Room sessions...
