RATSO Drop Debut Release 'Shut Your Face / Arseholes & Bullsh*t'

We haven't made it to the end of the year yet, but the general consensus so far is that 2020 has been absolute bollocks. Auckland's RATSO say what we're all thinking with the fuzz-fuelled garage punk double-punch of 'Shut Your Face' and 'Arseholes & Bullshit'. Exploding into a tangle of demented guitars and animalistic yowls, anyone who's ever worked in hospo (myself included) will be singing along with 'Shut Your Face', while the gleefully wild 'Arseholes & Bullshit' dumps a steaming great load of killer riffs right down your earhole. Inspired the guitar-slinging mania of such pivotal units as Dead Boys, Iron Maiden and Thin Lizzy, the enigmatic Aotearoa five-piece features members of The D4, The Cavemen and the Psycho Daisies. Both tunes were recorded at Earwig Studios in Auckland and mixed by none other than Dion Lunadon (The D4, A Place to Bury Strangers) "in the darkness of his New York lair during the height of the plague," and are out now for you to cherish forever on self-released 7" vinyl.
