Lips Drop Video For 'Not Today'

Taite Music Prize finalists and Trash Recital guest stars Lips have gone and dropped a new video for 'Not Today', from their internationally lauded 2021 album I Don't Know Why I Do Anything. Journeying from a shell-encrusted beach (in Beach Haven) to follow a secret rope pathway all around Tāmaki Makaurau, even on a ferry, Lips' masked avatar takes a moment to enjoy the band's autoharp-inflected ballad in Myers Park before continuing their adventure — but are they able to experience the amazing view? Openside singer Possum Plows wears the mask in director / editor and Lips member Fen Ikner's beautifully scenic clip, made with support from NZ On Air. Watch below and stay tuned for forthcoming remixes of Lips songs by DJ Sweat and the group's own spacemaude, celebrating the "8-and-a-half months" anniversary of I Don't Know Why I Do Anything...

'I Don't Know Why I Do Anything' is out now on 12" vinyl LP and on major streaming services.
