One of (if not the most) definitive Aotearoa hip-hop collectives of the 21st century, Home Brew reigned supreme earlier this year at Auckland Town Hall when they toasted their classic Last Week EP to a sold-out hometown crowd. The Young, Gifted & Broke (YGB) champions will be sharing the love this coming spring, embarking on very rare tour of Australasia with major events lined up for both sides of the Tasman, including their first Australian headline dates in more than a decade.

Home Brew's core crew of Tom Scott, Lui 'Silk' Gumaka and Haz Beats with expanded band are assembling for local headline dates in Tāmaki Makaurau — a triple night residency at Avondale's iconic The Hollywood — Ōtautahi, Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Kirikiriroa, and Rotorua, performing their 2008 Last Week EP in full plus selected fan favourites from across their multi-award-winning, chart-topping oeuvre.

Their still-unfolding legend is detailed in Audioculture profiles on Home Brew and Tom Scott (HERE and HERE respectively), plus director Andy Day's 2024 documentary on the making of their long-awaited sophomore album Run It Back. Do not dawdle about when Home Brew tour tickets go live later this week — or you might be having a sook about it later...

Press release:

Following a hugely successful sold-out performance at Auckland Town Hall in May, Live Nation has today announced Home Brew presents Last Week, an extensive Australian and New Zealand tour this October and November from the iconic Aotearoa hip-hop group Home Brew.

Home Brew will perform their legendary EP Last Week live in full, alongside fan favourites from across their celebrated catalogue. Marking the group's first Australian headline shows in over a decade, the tour kicks off this October at 170 Russell in Melbourne before heading to Brisbane, Sydney and Fremantle, then returns home throughout October and November for shows in Rotorua, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch, finishing with a three-night run at Hollywood Avondale in Auckland.

Home Brew are one of Aotearoa’s most beloved hip-hop groups, rising to equal parts greatness and infamy through their extensive run of EPs through the early 2010s and culminating in their now-classic #1 self-titled debut. The band re-entered the charts with their brand-new album Run It Back in 2023, securing them a raft of new fans.

Their aggressively DIY ethos has endeared them to many in the New Zealand Hip-Hop music scene, and they have cemented their place in history as one of the country's most authentic, uncompromising acts.

Following the overwhelming response to their sold-out Auckland Town Hall performance earlier this year, audiences across Australia and New Zealand will now experience one of Aotearoa's defining hip-hop releases performed live in full, alongside the songs that have shaped the band's enduring legacy.
