Weekly Round Up: Friday 10th July

Friday 10th July, 2015 11:40AM

After such an abundance of tour announcements last week, things quietened down a little over the last seven days. However, we were psyched to announce the return of American experimental rock group ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead, who are heading this way in August for three shows with Australian outfit The Red Paintings. In local tour news, teen thrash trio Alien Weaponry, who hail from Northland, revealed four dates for the lower North Island in July. And Ghost Wave, who have been toiling away in the studio working on their sophomore album, are emerging for a nationwide tour in August

In local release news, Girls Pissing On Girls Pissing unveiled the long-awaited second single (along with a great video) from their upcoming album Scrying In The Infirmary Architecture, which is due out later this year via Muzai. Experimental prog-rock outfit Shepherds of Cassini premiered a song from their forthcoming album Helios Forsaken coming out next week. And sonic manipulator Rohan Evans, aka ¡recuerde! unveiled a four-track EP recorded live at Wine Cellar earlier this month. Further abroad, The Chemical Brothers shared new single 'EML Ritual' as they gear up to release their new album. Doom outfit Windhand unleashed a first taste of their forthcoming record Grief's Infernal Flower, due out September. And Spanish synth-pop act Delorean let loose a psychedelic new video for their single 'Crystal' as they announced a new album for 2016.

This week's Caught Live is enough to send shivers down your spine. It's some fan-shot footage of garage punk heroes The Mummies tearing up the stage at Burger Boogaloo 2015 earlier this week, but not before being introduced by the legendary John Waters!!!...
