Toledo Springs: DreamPop indie psychedelic rock
Auckland quartet TOLEDO SPRINGS released their debut self titled EP just before Christmas 2015. We’re trying to make the kind of music we enjoy listening to ourselves. We’re into trippy sounds and psychedelic themes mixed in with conventional pop structures. The band started off as a hesitant jam between the four of us in my Dads warehouse, after which we decided to form a band. Izzy and I are brothers, Josh learnt piano from my mum and I discovered Mike freestyling at a house party.
Show Me Where It Hurts: Pop/Rock 'n' Roll/Soul/Jazz/Sweet-ass Grooves
The dynamic new duo featuring Josh Hetherington (ex-Cosmetics and Thorazine Shuffle) on vocals and Fender Rhodes electric piano and Ronny Growler (ex-Serafin and Pash) on drums and vocals. Stepping out in all their finery – finest of threads, finest of tunes – the two peddle a sweet and savoury smorgasbord of swingin’ sass and soul, and fingerpoppin’ rock-a-rolla! With a hands-on-hips line on the groove, Show Me Where It Hurts gonna make you wanna move!
