Maureen formed a little over two years ago in sunny Melbourne, Australia. After various lineup changes since then, they’re now playing as a tight 3-piece - Camila, Austin and Tom. Drawing on a varied array of influences, their music is nostalgic but heartfelt. With Guitarist Austin recently moving back to Wellington, they decided a debut tour of Aotearoa was in order to visit friends and make new ones.
They are looking forward to road tripping up to Auckland for this killer show at Whammy with the fresh and surfy Dateline! More amazing supports are to be announced soon.
In 2017 Maureen released their debut cassette ‘Heartaches’, which was self-recorded in an old Coburg share house. To align with this tour they’ll be releasing some brand new tracks recorded in the same space, but this time with the legendary Stacey Wilson (Terrible Truths / Rites Wild).
