If you've been at 121 over the last couple of years you'll know Adam as Chris P's very congenial compadre behind the bar, & every now & then he sneaks out to play a bit of wicked mandolin with Mark on a Saturday night. But Adam Ogle is also an award winning multi-instrumentalist. He started out playing in pubs in Whangarei & more recently he's performed at festivals such as Prana and Auckland Folk Festival. His first love is guitar, but after being, somewhat forcibly, urged to pursue singing (thanks Adam's mum), he's slotted very nicely into the singer/guitarist role. With passionate vocals paired with intricate guitar work, Adam performs songs from classic folk, old time Americana, southern gothic, and bluegrass.
Emily Roughton will join Adam with some of the loveliest fiddle playing you're likely to hear, & Mark Laurent (who anchors the evening) will probably throw in a few licks as well. There's no charge for entry & a koha teapot will be on the counter - your contributions for the musicians are greatly appreciated, thanks.
