A group of Wellington’s busiest jazz singers and musicians present a celebration of jazz classics and more in a high energy show. They will cherry-pick a repertoire of standards from their various award winning shows: including ‘Blue Eyes’; a tribute to Frank Sinatra, ‘Unforgettable - the Story of Nat King Cole’ and ‘The Glory of Gershwin’ and recently their tribute to the Broadway classics.
The cast features celebrated singer, actress, playwright and movie-maker April Phillips who created and scripted ‘Blue Eyes’, ‘Unforgettable’ and ‘The Glory of Gershwin’, ex-Hot Club Sandwich singer/guitarist Andrew London, bass player and vocalist for the Velox Brothers and Cattlestops James Cameron, vocalist and saxophonist James Tait-Jamieson and drummer Lance Philip.
The Retro Pack is a true variety act with multiple, highly talented and acclaimed singers and musicians and a carefully selected repertoire of songs that audiences love and can sing along to. The onstage dynamic and banter between the performers is completely infectious and gets the audience tapping their toes, laughing, and reminiscing.
