Welcome to Welcome to the Gig: Volume 1!
Based off the mighty New Zealand music blog and podcast, it is finally time to drop something hot to the Auckland crew.
Save the date because August 26th will be a special one, full of artists that you won't want to miss seeing live, followed by some very talented DJs who will take you to another place.
LINE-UP:
- BIG TASTY: After winning Battle of the Bands 2020, BIG TASTY are about to drop their hot new single, Diamond Eyed, on the 12th August. This nine-piece will have you moving and grooving with every inch of your soul on the evening of the 26th. From the incredible variety of instruments, to their dance-like funky vibes, BIG TASTY will leave you wanting more of their taste long after the gig has finished.
- HAZE LANE: Formerly known as Mind Over Matter, HAZE LANE have taken the past couple of years to perfect their indie-rock sound that will melt you and have you naturally gravitating towards the front of the stage to be closer to their presence. These four lads have recently dropped their newest single, Natural Feeling and trust me, HAZE LANE will make you want to stick around.
- ISLA: A sweetheart all-rounder, ISLA writes music to reassure us that we are not the only awkward people in the world (very relatable). ISLA walks the tightrope between her indie-folk and pop-rock vibes, in which her songs serve as a time capsule for life's experiences. Supported by Isaac O'Callaghan on cajon and keys, you too, will enjoy her performance as much as the rest of us.
DJs:
- STU D O and KIMBA JADE: STU D O and KIMBA JADE are our incredibly talented DJs of the evening. Varying with different genres they enjoy to play, these two are a match made in heaven for the first Welcome to the Gig event.
OTHER:
- JACK MENSAH MULTIMEDIA: JACK is our wonderful videographer and photographer of the evening who will be taking insane memories of the evening, which we cannot wait to see and share with you all.
- JOEL LEONG: JOEL is the amazing stage manager/poster creator and much more behind this event.
