Gig Information

BREAKING SOUND has expanded to Cassette Nine in the heart of Auckland. We showcase the hottest emerging artists and bands in premium locations around the city!

We are so excited to be bringing Tamaki Makaurau this insane line up of up and coming artists! Thursday 16th November we will be showcasing: Nat Hathaway, Melon Heart, Fishbait & Daybreak

A little about the artists:

Fishbait is an alternative rock band influenced by math rock and classic alternative rock acts. Fishbait will always bring punchy energy and blistering fast riffs with lyrics you can always find meaning in.

Melon Heart is a spacey-grunge/alternative rock band made up of a four-piece dream team that originally met studying at MAINZ Music and Audio in Auckland. Their intricately dirty sounds with lyrics designed to make you ponder are in the works for release, so boogie on down to watch them live and get your first taste of what's soon to come.

Kia Ora! We are Daybreak, a 4 piece Indie/Rock band from Auckland. We are all teenagers, who come from varying backgrounds, creating a unique sound sure to resonate well with an audience. 2 of our members are cousins and have been performing together for over 8 years, while the rest of the band joined at the start of 2023. Groovy bass lines, and catchy guitar riffs combined with high energy performances are the basis for what Daybreak stands for. Playing at shows such as The Monkey House, and Hahei rocks, have inspired the love for music and performance in us and we are aspiring to become a band that is known within the local industry.

Nat Hathaway writes catchy, nostalgic songs, inspired by 60s pop and 70s disco. Being self-recorded, produced, and mixed, Nat has total creative freedom in his home studio, resulting in a unique, singular sound. Having released three singles in 2023, Nat plans to drop his debut album ‘Hold Me’ in January 2024.

See you on the dance floor!
