Gig Information

The Boondocks, celebrated for their unwavering commitment to live performances, are a dynamic two-piece rock duo hailing from Auckland’s Āwhitu Peninsula, showcase the vocal and bass prowess of Scott Parker paired with the rhythmic stamina of Branden Pritchard. Drawing inspiration from grunge, punk, and modern rock, their music emanates an energetic vibe, featuring hard-rock riffs and unforgettable melodies. In 2023, The Boondocks launched their singles 'Alone' and 'Black Taxi,' both produced by the nationally acclaimed Scott Seabright, propelling them into the NZ Top 20 charts and securing regular rotation on major radio stations like The Rock FM and Radio Hauraki. Building on this success, the duo, in collaboration with Seabright, is set to release their debut EP on February 2nd, 2024, promising to captivate the New Zealand rock scene and leaving their fans craving more.

Don't miss their EP release party at Big Fan, Morningside, on February 9th, where they'll be joined by some of Auckland's finest musicians!

Renowned for their tight live performances and hard hitting riffs, Animalhead have been busy since 2015 - cooking up heavy riffs, tight grooves and fat bass lines. This West Auckland Rock trio channel an energetic and fierce sound - the likes of Rage Against the Machine and Royal Blood, to deliver a highly energetic and frantic show.

Late to Chelsea are a 4-piece Garage Punk band based in Tāmaki Makaurau. And are the worst band in New Zealand (probably the world). Late to Chelsea always likes to distract our audience from our terrible concoction of multi-faceted punk rock with high-energy, engaging live shows guaranteed to leave any gig-goer drenched in sweat

Pink Plates are the skate punk posers that can't skate; Pink Plates turn up, rock hard, and come inside any venue in Aotearoa. They've been described as music for straight boys that like butt plugs, Pink Plates are the audible equivalent of the perfect third date.

Catch you at Big Fan, 25 McDonald Street, Morningside, Auckland, on February 9th. Doors swing open at 7:30 pm, with the first band hitting the stage at 8 pm. Student Tickets available Door only (must provide student ID). SHOW IS ALL AGES, alcohol will still be served.
