Both Sides of the Line formed in 2009 in Dunedin, NZ, by John Sule and Glenda Rogers. In December 2023 the band released their 4th album, Souls & Seasons and they are
excited to be playing these songs for you at The Duck.
“The band has a loose, jaunty and upbeat style with catchy, unpretentious songs played against Glenda Rogers’ earthy, heart-felt vocals” (Jeremy Quinn, ODT)
“…guitar-driven tunes that highlight the slick playing of key song-writer John Sule” (Shane Gilchrist, ODT)
Style: Retro-pop/surf/ rockabilly
Influences/ sounds like: Wanda Jackson, Imelda May, Eilen Jewel, Nancy Sinatra, Tami Neilson, B52s, Natalie Merchant
