Weekly Round Up: Friday 13th November

Friday 13th November, 2015 3:17PM

It was a slowish start to the week in terms of tour news, but today has been particularly fruitful with American metal trio High On Fire announcing an Auckland show for February, and otherwordly folk songstress Jessica Pratt announcing two New Zealand concerts for next month. On top of that, details for next year's Woodcock festival were also unveiled. Earlier this week we were ecstatic to share news that the hugely influential Lou Barlow is coming to town, this time for a solo tour. Die! Die! Die! revealed details of a new EP along with a raft of South Island dates. And Leftfield was announced as the headliner for Splore, while the line-up for Christchutch's Nostalgia Festival was also unveiled.

In release news, we were psyched to hear 'Sun Set Strip' from the now-Berlin-based outfit Full Moon Fiasco as they gear up to unleash a new album. Auckland musician Nich Cunningham (of various projects over the years, but most recently Lost Rockets and The Moonlight) unveiled his "crushingly bleak" solo EP. Clare Duncan, aka I.E. Crazy, let loose her first official single titled 'You're A Stranger (To Me Now) which is well worth soaking up. And synth-pop outfit Paquin premiered their Cocktail-inspired clip for 'Get Here', which is set to feature on the group's upcoming album. Further abroad, Jeff The Brotherhood streamed their brand new full-length album ahead of it's official release. And the ever-prolific Ty Segall shared details for the release of his new record Emotional Mugger.

This week's Caught Live is freshly unveiled footage of Protomartyr delivering n A-grade performance of 'Why Does It Shake?' at a pop-up show in Brooklyn, New York, earlier this year...
