Weekly Round Up: Friday 22nd July

Tour news was pretty quiet this week, but we did receive word that Auckland City Limits music festival will be returning for 2017 with the date and venue all locked in. Also on the festival front, the good folk at Flying Out announced the second incarnation of The Other's Way will be taking place in September - tickets are on sale now, and the line-up is set to drop on Monday. And it was revealed that Seattle folk-punk songstress Kimye Dawson is returning to New Zealand for two shows.

In release new, we were hyped to finally hear the debut EP from Auckland four-piece sere which is every bit as good as we anticipated. Palmerston North trio Soda Boyz also let loose their highly-anticipated debut EP just before kicking off a tour with their Auckland buddies Yukon Era. And speaking of Yukon Era, they shared their very own new single 'Consume and Scratch' this week. And working class rapper and poet Tourettes unveiled his awesome new video for 'New York City' which features on his forthcoming album.

This week's Caught Live is Pearl Jam covering 'Dream Baby Dream' at their recent show at Pemberton Music Festival in homage to Suicide's Alan Vega who passed away last weekend...
