Friday 9th September, 2016 1:40PM

The tour news just kept coming this week!! We were elated to reveal that Tortoise are coming in December for their first New Zealand shows in 15 years. On top of that, Dinosaur Jr are heading over for one performance in the new year. We also caught wind of a Meshuggah show taking place in March at The Powerstation. The Cult are returning to New Zealand in November for two concerts. British born blues revivalist Jack Broadbent announced a three-date tour for next month. Melbourne punks The Interceptors are crossing the Tasman for a string of North Island shows kicking off at the end of the month. Swedish prog veterans Opeth revealed one Auckland date for next February. And Delaney Davidson's project Manos Del Chango has lined up a seven-show nationwide tour for October. In festival news, the new location was revealed for next year's Laneway Festival, and the full line-up announcement is coming on the 14th September. Stay tuned!!

Some great release news came out of the woodwork this week too. Our highlights included a new tune from Auckland-based bedroom producer October, who dropped new tune 'Cherry Cola'. Our buddies Hopetoun Brown let loose a fantastic new track featuring the wonderful talents of Tami Neilson and Finn Scholes. Onehunga hip hop heroes SWIDT came correct with a new cut called '312' which was released with a awesome video directed by Jordan Cherrington. Auckland supergroup Leisure unveiled new song 'Moonbeam' along with news their debut album will be out 21st October. And we were delighted to premiere the self-titled debut album from Wellington ambient-psych six-piece Moses.
