It's been a whopper week for tour announcements!! Legendary shock rocker Alice Cooper announced two October shows with guitar maverick Ace Frehley as his .  Mathcore icons The Dillinger Escape Plan revealed the dates for their last ever New Zealand shows as part of the release tour for their final album, Dissociation. Arkansas doom metal foursome Pallbearer are coming this way on the heels of releasing their third LP, Heartless. Canadian duo Japandroids are returning to these shores for two shows in July. Irish priestess of the organ Aine O'Dwyer will be gracing four of the country's churches with her minimalistic soundscapes for a May tour. The Lemonheads frontman Evan Dando announced two solo shows as part of his Baby I'm Bored reissue tour. American folk rock artist Steve Gunn is winging his way over for a four-date jaunt in July. And a most excellent line up was unveiled for this year's Borderline Festival.


Highlight's from the week's release news include the fantastic homegrown video from witchy Wellington trio Hex for their latest single 'Page Of Pentacles'. Also on the visual front, I.E. Crazy shared a voyeuristic clip for her track 'The Ape (Plastic Surgery Song)' which is plucked form her debut album Non Compos Mentis. Berlin-based ex-pats Glass Vaults let loose their percussion driven single 'Bleached Blonde' as they gear up to release a new album. Auckland emo pop punks Carb On Carb lifted the lid off their split release with their American counterparts For Everest. And hip hop mainstay David Dallas unveiled his highly anticipated fourth album Hood Country Club.
