Zero Cool Share First Single / Video From New Album '720p'

Annabel Kean / Thursday 30th July, 2020 10:38AM

Zero Cool are back on the scene with a lovely new single, an album up their sleeve, and a video that'll have you booking a flight to Wellington immediately. 'Full Buzz' is the first taste of the trio's sophomore album 720p, and while it has lo-fi, low res notions, the track is a gorgeous piece of HD 4K pop. Fronted by songwriter Scott Maynard, the Pōneke trio have cropped up for the odd show or support spot since dropping their self-titled debut album in 2017, notably sharing the bill more than a few times with Girlboss, one of drummer Olivia Campion's other bands. Members Campion, Maynard and Symon Palmer all cameo in the patchwork 'Full Buzz' video created by multimedia artist Rainer Craig on what appears to be a glitchy Handycam. If you're a gig-going Wellingtonian there's a chance you'll spot yourself in their too, somewhere amongst the archival footage, house gigs, tui and tuatara...

Zero Cool's sophomore album '720p' is out Thursday 27th August.
