Weekly Round-Up: Friday 21st June

Friday 21st June, 2013 12:49PM

As suspected, tour news picked up this week but first, the most exciting news of the week  - we now have an iPhone App! Free and available now from the app store, head over here for more information.

Back to tour news - on Monday Neurosis frontman Scott Kelly announced his return in November with former Swans member Jarboe for two shows. Next up was a dual announce of rising Australian acts with Flume announced to return in October for a three date headline tour and Sydney duo Jagwar Ma announced to play their debut New Zealand show in August. Last but not least, our very own scuzz rock masters Head Like a Hole return to the touring circuit with extensive national dates in August.

In album release news, as part of an ongoing series of live albums, Jack White's Third Man Records will be releasing live 12" LPs from The Kills, Seasick Steve and The Shins next week, Bill Callahan has announced the release of new album Dream River via Drag Records in September, Arctic Monkeys returned this week with a new single assumed to be from a new album,  rising electro-pop act Chvrches have announced the release of their debut album  The Bones Of What You Believe in September (check out their live performance on Fallon below), Okkervill River released the first single from their new album The Silver Gymnasium, and Justin Vernon's (Bon Iver) side project Volcano Choir have a new album out in September and have released the first single 'Bygone'.

Caught live this week we have Chvrches who, as previously mentioned, announced the release of their debut album this week and performed single 'The Mother We Share' on Fallon...

And The Postal Service have ended a lengthy hiatus to celebrate the tenth anniversary of their debut album Give Up and here they are performing the biggest single from it - 'Such Great Heights' - on The Colbert Report:
