Weekly Round Up: Friday 19th December

This week's tour news was ON FIRE. The new year is stacking up with an amazing offering of live shows, January will bring Australian cohorts Kirin J Callinan and Jack Ladder for a double-billed night of entertainment. European outfit Francois And The Atlas Mountains will be playing three shows around the North Island. Sibling duo Angus and Julia Stone announced a handful of New Zealand shows to coincide with their Laneway appearance. Also in Laneway news, sideshows were announced from Flying Lotus, Little Dragon and Royal Blood. For February, Marlon Williams is heading home for a four-date sojourn to celebrate his stunning new single 'Dark Child'. CJ Ramone of the Ramones will be playing one Auckland show. The Off The Radar festival will be returning with a serious line-up, which has been partially announced. And subversive festival Woodcock has revealed it's epic full line-up for Valentines Day. Rapper Freddie Gibbs has locked in two shows across Wellington and Auckland. That brings us to March, when Australian folk musician Jordie Lane crosses the ditch to tour. Ex-pat Greg Johnson will also be traversing the North Island for a series of shows. And last, but definitely not least, Mastodon have confirmed a show for late March with our very own metal masters Beastwars. Whoop whoop!
