To celebrate the release of new single and music video ‘Kosmonavt’ Ha the Unclear are playing shows around the country throughout March in Auckland, Wellington, Whanganui, Lyttelton and Dunedin.
The release follows a feature on BBC 6’s Introducing, premiere of a home-shot music video on US website Entertainment Weekly (filmed by in-house production company ‘A Million Bucks Productions’) and a string of successful singles (Secret Lives of Furniture, Apostate, Growing Mould).
The video was produced by Fluke Creative and made with help from NZ On Air. Filmed on location at Auckland's Karekare Beach, the video features an astronaut who has crash-landed on a foreign beach only to find strange drones crafting the landscape. The shots draw from the lyrical themes of the song, humanity's relentlessly futile attempts to discover and reinterpret meaning.
Kosmonavt's allegorical lyrics portray a group of astronauts who have become trapped in space unable to return to Earth, relaying their final message to mission control (we found answers leave us scars/and the holes in the roof are made from stars/we'll die wondering what we are).
