Nick Knox is a composer, singer-songwriter from Dunedin. Complex and haunting, combining middle eastern tonalities with a Baroque aesthetic, his rich keyboard playing is coupled by a dark yet subtle multi flecked voice. Deeply evocative fluidities of form, the music often described as filmic, has the power to transport.
He featured in a BBC funded documentary The Characteristics of C-Minor (2014) which played in 20 International film festivals.
Based in Dunedin, but increasingly performing further afield, this concert in Oamaru's beautiful Grainstore Gallery is a great chance to see Nick weave his magic.
He is joined by Oamaru connected Bethany Robertson.
Bethany is an emerging talent. Blessed with an extraordinary voice that explodes from unexpected depths. A maturity, sophistication, and a primacy that can be spine tingling.
An opportunity to immerse in musical beauty. Surrounded by the extraordinary and beautiful art of Donna Demente.
Tickets are $15
