LIJ (Afrikan American) is a local hip hop artist based in Auckland. Since his debut EP ‘Attention Metropolitan’ in 2015, he has embarked on a nationwide tour, performed at Ohakune Mardi Gras and has been over to New York City to work on his craft. In late 2017, Lij released his sophomore EP ‘Early Life Crisis’ which peaked at #1 on the NZ iTunes hip hop charts and #2 on the overall charts.

GINO (South Afrikan) Born in South Africa and now based in Auckland, New Zealand, Gino October is a rapper, producer and integral member of the Little Village Collective. Gino's sound playfully boarders the line of Hip Hop and Modern Rap. His talent creates catchy hooks and witty word play, and this in combination with his ability to tell stories make him unique. He delivers his live performances with a stage presence beyond his years and consistently wins crowds over with his natural energy and charisma. Countless gigs around Auckland clubs and a stand out performance with his Little Village crew at Northern Bass festival have put Gino's name on New Zealand's rap radar.

CON DESCENDANT (Zimbabwean) is an underground hip hop/rap artist and songwriter based in Auckland New Zealand. A fan of several other genres of music, his own music is derives from his long time influences. Con Descendant’s tracks are identifiable by their stripped down chords, raw drumlines and eerie samples, all the while leaning solely on his pen as an emcee. He lacks posturing and fluff that is readily available in the mainstream music scene, opting for a more introspective, raw and honest brand of Hip hop. Pulling from life experiences both from his birthplace and the city of Auckland, Con Descendant is gearing up for an EP release later this year.

PHODISO (Motswana) is one of Auckland’s hottest upcoming black creatives, with undeniable talent in rap, poetry, dance, acting and filmmaking. As one of three lead vocalists in the renowned afro-fusion galactic rock group New Telepathics, Phodiso has made appearances on stage at national festivals such as Splore and Woodcock, and was even invited to cameo on the set of UK Hiphop giants Foreign Beggars at Nothern Bass. After having steadily developed his craft and built up his repertoire behind the scenes, Phodiso is set to hit the ground running in the NZ music scene with his solo act.

EMMANZ1 (Nigerian) found passion in music from age of 10 when he picked up his first musical instruments. Making his home in Auckland, NZ, Emmanz1 began to develop his musical career, motivated by the desire to be unique and set apart from his peers. Joined by local artists Lelilani Davies and D.Matthews, Emmanz1 performs tracks off his debut EP “Destiny” which crosses over genre-lines and includes several numbers which will have crowds up off their feet.
