With support from Slow Rage and Mikaela Cougar.
“Slow Rage” is a two-piece punk/alt-rock band based in Auckland. Max and Sam met at a dance school about a decade ago, and have been inseparable ever since. They are known for their DIY approach to their music and high-energy, in-your-face live shows. With a fourth album currently in the works, Slow Rage is absolutely not one to miss.
A free spirit from west Aucklands’ black sand beaches, bringing her whirlwind of sounds shooting you through moonbeams landing you amongst the stars, Mikaela Cougar is a mystical input into the Auckland punk scene. Mikaela draws influence from Post Punk bands such as The Cure and Siouxsie and the Banshees, sprinkling some shoe gaze glitter on top, holding the persona of a grungy, gypsy, summer wild child of the 90’s with a DIY Riot Grrrl attitude.
