Gig Information

Audio Foundation is hosting Aotearoa Artists in Solidarity with Palestine and invites you to the release of TAUTOKO GAZA, a compilation by a collective of artists and musicians from Aotearoa standing in solidarity with Palestine. Join us for a special listening event to raise our voices together for Palestine.

The current situation in Palestine and the recent escalation of violence by the Israeli state is horrific. The genocidal blockade and repeated airstrikes have resulted in mass loss of civilian life on an unprecedented scale. These atrocities form part of a long legacy of forced displacement, which began under British imperialism and has continued under the Israeli apartheid regime since 1948.

On Tuesday 7 November a group of Aotearoa artists united to release TAUTOKO GAZA, a compilation to stand in solidarity with Gaza and the occupied West Bank. We stand in solidarity with the struggle for Palestinian liberation and join the calls for an immediate ceasefire and end to the illegal military occupation. There is absolutely no justification for the brutal crimes and genocide being carried out against the Palestinian people”

Resources will be available at the event to link you to where you can sign petitions, find local protests, write to politicians, and share online content. We encourage you to do so while you listen. The event will begin with an introduction led by Palestinian Youth Aotearoa, a guide to the resources and online actions you can do on the night, followed by a performance by Yet Undefined, and then a play through of the Tautoko Gaza Album.
For more information on how you can help end the genocide in Gaza and to stay informed, check out these local organisations fighting to Free Palestine:

Yet Undefined is an experimental improvisational band, which through its frequencies brigns a field of exploration to the inner parts of ourselves. The lead singer Rana is a Palestinian / Syrian refugee and she tells sonic stories from her perception of life and death in Arabic and English along with Michael on synths and keyboards and Jeff on percussions.
TAUTOKO GAZA is available exclusively as a digital release via Bandcamp, all funds raised from the compilation will go to Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP), an NGO working to support growing critical health needs resulting from Israel's ongoing bombardment and complete siege on Gaza. This siege has dramatically escalated since October 7th, and we recognise that much of the aid is currently not entering the region.
