Auckland's Shab Orkestra are sharing their hair-raising new song 'Offering' as they prepare to release a new limited edition 8-inch lathe cut record. Comprised of just two members, Steven Huf and Alexander Brown, the orkestra manage to conjure up beautifully layered sonics loaded with brass and woodwind instruments, which we first heard earlier this year on the wonderful instrumental 'I Will Not Take You Back To The Water' (that will also appear on the forthcoming 8-inch release). Shab Orkestra are performing a free show tonight at Auckland's Whammy Bar to celebrate the launch of their 8-inch. And then they are supporting Jessica Pratt on Thursday night at The Tuning Fork in Auckland.
