Weekly Round Up: Friday 23rd September

Friday 23rd September, 2016 5:16PM

This week in tour news, the inimitable Peaches announced two New Zealand dates for December. Nai Palm of Hiatus Kaiyote is heading over for a wee solo jaunt in October. American hip hop artist Antwon is winging his way over for two shows in October. Locally, Hex have announced a four-date tour for next month to celebrate their new single 'The Moon'. Leisure lined up two shows across Wellington and Auckland. And on the festival front, the first line-up was revealed for next year's Splore festival. And the good folk at Whammy announced the first lot of acts for their very own WhammyFest shindig.

In release news, the now Glasgow-based Auckland outfit Mason Clinic shared new single 'Some Kind Of Hero' with the promise of more new material on the way. Rising hip hop talents Shiraz & LSJ dropped their debut album Jive Days through The Grow Room collective. Wellington's Beatcomber shared a great new tune called 'Sick Breeze'.  And further abroad, Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions announced the impeding arrival of their third album and unveiled the gorgeous single 'Let Me Get There' featuring Kurt Vile.

This week's Caught Live is Wilco performing 'Someone To Lose' from their new album Schmilco, live on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert...
