It's been a stacked week of announcements as our music community looks forward to unrestricted live gigs in the tantalisingly near future. Highlights included one of Aotearoa's most electrifying psych duos, Earth Tongue have rematerialised to tour the nation in October and November, psychedelic-pop explorers Glass Vaults are launching their new album Sounds That Sound Like Music with a tour hitting the four main centres this summer, Die! Die! Die! unveiled a top notch roster of support acts for their forthcoming nationwide tour, Gisborne teen punks Sit Down In Front are heading out on a long-awaited tour celebrating the release of their new album Confessions Of A Pie Thief, and Ōtautahi crooner Adam Hattaway and his band The Haunters are going all out, celebrating their upcoming single 'Wasting Our Time' with an extensive nationwide tour this summer.

Members of Shapeshifter, The Black Seeds, Fly My Pretties, Pumpkinhead, Skinny Hobos and more are gathering together to pay tribute to Aaron Tokona (Weta, AHoribuzz, Cairo Knife Fight) at Pōneke's San Fran in December, a dream double-header Te Ika-a-Māui tour has been cooked up by the multi-talented mind meld of Finn Johansson and Jazmine Mary, folk-rock songwriter Stretch will be treating audiences throughout Te Ika a Maui this October and November to the soulful sounds of his new album Our Dreams Are Changing, and fans of the multi-talented Thom Burton (Guardian Singles, SoccerPractise, Wilberforces) can thrill to the sounds of his solo electronic project M0ppy tonight at Auckland's The Wine Cellar. Lovers of experimental sounds of all stripes will be over the moon about Audio Foundation's humungous lineup for the 2020 edition of their biennial Now Hear This! festival — delve into the just-revealed six day programme here.

Freshly appointed UTR Roving Reporter Clark Mathews turned in his first assignment today and it's a doozy. Take in the glory of his in-depth conversation with DARTZ frontman Danz about their blazed new punk-pop anthem 'High At The Beach' here, and support your community by attending one (or more) of the many excellent, safely-seated live shows happening across Aotearoa this weekend...
