
Weekly Round Up: Friday 19th February
Tour news this weeks sees a few Aussie acts heading this way!! Legendary guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Ed Kuepper has lined-up two headline shows for New Zealand in April. Melbourne hardcore group Outright are crossing the Tasman to headline the annual Hamtown Smackdown and has also locked in dates for a handful of side shows. Sydney-based emotional punk duo Hannahband are jumping the ditch to play a raft of shows with Auckland's own Carb On Carb next month. In terms of local tours, post-rock trio Jakob announced two shows on home soil before they head off to Europe. And Delaney Davidson announced an eight-date jaunt with his new project Manos Del Chango.
In release news, the ethereal Purple Pilgrims unveiled a gorgeous video for new tune 'Forever' as they prepare to release a fresh album next Friday. Tauranga trio Threat.Meet.Protocol let loose a NSFW video for new single 'The Garden' as they also gear up to unleash a record via Muzai. Young guns Yukon Era put out a great clip for 'Her Worst Nightmare' that is a promising sign of things to come. Roy Irwin has released his amazing new album S.O.D.A. which you can stream via Bandcamp. In international news, FKA Twigs has emerged with a new single called 'Good To Love' which came out with a self-directed video. And Santigold unwrapped candied single 'Banshee' in anticipation of releasing her new album 99¢.
