Listen to Money Sock's Self-Titled Debut EP
One of my personal favourite local band names of recent times, Money Sock make a ferocious "Hater Hardcore" statement of intent on their self-titled debut EP. The Tāmaki Makaurau crew cram seven anthems into a snug seventeen minutes, full of throat-shredding gang chants, brain-mashing breakdowns and groove-heavy, pit-inciting guitar / drums attack. Unveiled a few weeks back and still more than deserving of your attention, the final stretch of Moneysock's EP release tour is taking them to Tauranga (an election night rager), Ōtautahi and Te Whanganui-a-Tara's legendary hub for punk community events, Thistle Hall...
