Delivering a refreshing blend of elegance meets edge, Raquel Abolins-Reid is indie-pop act RIIKI. Known for her melodic singles and vibrant stage persona on the festival circuit, RIIKI is now ready to deliver her debut headline shows.
Raised in New Zealand’s creative capital city and aged just 21, RIIKI arrived to the party in 2019 with first singles ‘One Day’ and ZM-playlisted ‘High Heights’, co-produced bySimon Gooding (known for working with global artists such as P!nk, Dua Lipa and Migos). In 2020 RIIKI followed up with singles ‘Share Your Luv’ and ‘Good Times’, the latter of which landed her first #1 on the Hot NZ Singles Chart.
Not deterred by launching her touring career while the world faces a global pandemic, RIIKI says, “I know what I am working on right now will really mean something to others and I can’t wait for people to feel what I feel”. RIIKI was the first local artist featured on music discovery blog Ones to Watch, and performed at the platform’s live showcase in Auckland last October. As part of the platform’s efforts to develop the touring careers of promising emerging artists, Ones to Watch and Vodafone are proud to back her debut headline tour.
