Former concertmaster of the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, Lucinda Moon joins NZ Barok to usher in spring in a programme of exuberant and beautiful classics to enchant and delight the senses.
NZ Barok is New Zealand’s national baroque orchestra, and its spring performance repertoire is an uplifting selection of elegant works including Bach's Violin Concerto in E major, 'Spring' from Vivaldi's The Four Seasons, as well as works by Corelli and Giacomelli.
A gifted baroque violinist, New Zealand-born Lucinda Moon has performed and recorded with baroque orchestras and ensembles in Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Japan, Europe, Canada and Sweden.
Trained by Sigiswald Kuijken at the Royal Conservatorium in The Hague, Lucinda is a member of the critically acclaimed Melbourne-based Elysium Ensemble and Tasmania's newest Baroque orchestra, Van Dieman's Band.
She is also a member of Accademia Arcadia, which performs regularly at the Woodend Winter Arts Festival and at the Melbourne Recital Centre.
'Spring in the Air' is Lucinda’s first solo performance with NZ Barok.
