Cat Power - New Album and Possible NZ Tour

Cat Power - New Album and Possible NZ Tour

Tuesday 8th December, 2009 12:00PM

Cat Power aka Chan Marshall has spoken recently about plans for a new album which would take her back to her solo days - welcome news for fans of her original solo material such as You Are Free, which incidentally Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth named as one of his top three albums of the decade.

In a post on NME yesterday about the new album they also said that Cat Power would be touring NZ and Australia but alas! after a bit of research we found an extensive Australian tour with little room for 'ol NZ.  Still lets keep our fingers crossed that she'll come by our way.

Cat Power's Australian dates:

Tue 29th - Wed 30th December - Pyramid Rock Festival - Phillip Island, Melbourne
Thu 31st December - Powerhouse, Brisbane
Sat 2nd Jan - Coolangatta Hotel, Gold Coast
Tue 5th Jan - The Governor, Adelaide
Wed 6th Jan - Astor Theatre, Mt Lawley
Fri 8th Jan - Waves, Towradgi
Sat 9th Jan - Newcastle Panthers, Newcastle
Sun 10th Jan - Days Like This! - Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park, Sydney
