The Response Unveil New Single & Video 'Keep Calm And Carry On'

Morale-boosting words to be found on feature walls and op shop mugs, 'Keep Calm And Carry On' is the anthemic new offering from Ōtautahi rockers The Response, who have a busy gig schedule teed up for the coming weeks. Rulers of the RadioScope Rock Airplay Chart for two months (!) with 2025's 'Where Do You Run To?', the Canterbury duo flip the UK propaganda mantra inside out, delivering a riff-heavy portrait of reality-distorting confirmation bias — a timely release before this year's general election?

Not to be mixed up with Eyeliner's MIDI-pop double-punch on 2020's Drop Shadow, the video for 'Keep Calm And Carry On' is a work shirt office space stress meltdown, made by Ben Dykes Films with support from NZ On Air. Andrew and Victoria Knopp are soon teaming up with Midwave Breaks for shows at Tāmaki Makaurau's Double Whammy and their hometown's A Rolling Stone, plus they're playing at Dux Central this Friday. Hit play and head along...
