Nau Mai ki te Ao o HINE - A māori witch folk noir weaving of Taonga Pūoro, sonic storytelling & poetry. This enchanting songstress radiates strength through vulnerability & the connections awakened from returning to our roots. A blend of Te Reo Māori & English, this powerful set will echo through your bones & reverberate your soul. HINE recently released her debut EP KA MUA KA MURI with a national tour, leading the EP to take the place of #4 then #1 on the Aotearoa Official Top Charts. This will be HINE’s last tour of the north island before a move to Ōtautahi and then travel internationally.
Arahina Mai meaning ‘Guide Me” speaks to the devotion to spirit through her craft and devotional practice of music & art as ritual & medicine. This show will be a deeply intimate, intentional & community centric setting of heart & healing.
