Audio Foundation is pleased to announce a rare Auckland show by legendary cabaret punk group Mr Sterile Assembly, paired with local underground heroes TOOMS.
mr sterile Assembly is a noisy bass and drum duo - part punk, part noise, math rock, free-form squall; they are not easy to box, and are quite happy about that.
Known as much for their word-smithing as for their fierce delivery – they have been described as “oppressive and delightful both at the same time.” Organ Magazine, UK.
The duo are also known for their tours, taking uncompromising music to venues dotted around the planet.

TOOMS are also a noisy bass and drum duo who recently supported post-punk ranters Sleaford Mods at their only NZ show in February. Coming fresh of a Covid cancelled USA tour, and from making a selection of choice covers during lockdown, TOOMS are always a joyous treat!
