Felipe Baldomir 'Beach Day' World Tour - Auckland & Wellington Shows Announced

Born in Uruguay and these days calling Byron Bay, Australia his home, Felipe Baldomir's ever-questing songwriting spirit is taking him all around the globe in the coming months, including a couple of headline dates in Aotearoa New Zealand. The sun-splashed, blue sky sonics of the lead singles to Baldomir's forthcoming album Beach Day fit his Aus coastal home base too a tee — fellow former busker Tash Sultana has been cited as a touchstone — launching in full on 6th November, just before the South American leg of his tour.

Also a visual artist, Baldomir painted the colourful cover art for Beach Day as part of a series of works he's exhibiting at next month's Beach Day release party and exhibition in Byron Bay. Baldomir will be bringing this hand-crafted, personalised touch to his local dates at Big Fan in Tāmaki Makaurau and Valhalla in Te Whanganui-a-Tara this March, before he chass the sun to the Northern Hemisphere for an extensive round of gigs in Europe and the UK. Born in Uruguay and now based in Byron Bay, Australia, Felipe Baldomir is a coastal indie-folk singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose music reflects a life shaped by different coastlines, cultures and communities.

With his fourth studio album, Beach Day (November 2026), Felipe is entering his biggest chapter yet, taking his music across Australia, New Zealand, Europe, the UK, South Africa and South America throughout 2026–2027.

Beach Day is a feel-good collection of songs inspired by life on the Australian coastline. It’s upbeat, indie, fresh and just a lot of fun — music made to put a smile on your face at any time of day.

The album has a sound of its own, shaped by Felipe’s love of outdoor living, surfing and the feeling of freedom that comes with life on the road. Alongside the music, he has created a Beach Day Art Collection to bring the world of the record to life beyond the songs.

At the centre of the project is Felipe’s live show. A multi-instrumentalist and live-looping artist, he layers groovy guitar riffs, drums, keys, synths and saxophone in real time to create a dynamic, full-band sound while performing solo.

What started with busking, van life and backyard shows has grown over the years into sold-out headline shows and festival stages around the world, including Queenscliff Music Festival (AU), Cigale Festival (CA), Tunes in the Dunes (UK), MadNes Festival (NL), Splashy Fen Festival (SA), Heitere Open Air (CH), Alles Gute Open Air (AT), Utcazene Festival (HU) and Salt Wave Festival (PL) — all built independently, one show at a time.

Felipe’s first three albums — Nature Speaks (2018), Only Light (2021) and Tides (2024) — each mark a different chapter in the journey, evolving his sound while staying rooted in nature, freedom, connection and life on the road. Now comes Beach Day and the biggest chapter yet.
