Gig Information

Delphine Dora is a French pianist, organist, vocalist, improviser, and composer, born in Paris in 1980. For nearly two decades, she has cultivated a distinctive and intuitive musical language that bridges improvisation, folk, contemporary classical, experimental and electroacoustic music, as well as poetic expression. Her work, deeply anchored in the present moment, delves into altered temporalities and sensitive geographies, forming a resonant dialogue between improvisation and composition, the contemporary and the archaic, the poetic and the ineffable, the physicality of sound and the ethereal, the outer world and inner life.

Her creative process embraces openness, chance, and collaboration. Dora’s prolific solo and collaborative output—released on labels such as Recital, Modern Love, Morc, Okraïna, Feeding Tube, and three:four—encompasses pipe organ explorations, genre-blurring song forms, piano compositions, and site-specific improvisations.

She has performed extensively across France, Europe, Japan, and Georgia, in venues ranging from underground experimental spaces to more institutional settings — including theaters, museums, art centers, renowned festivals — as well as historic churches.

Tamagawa is the solo project of french guitarist Bertrand Gaude. member of Temple Solaire and Le Club des Gens Speciaux, two noise groups released by the label Standard hi fi...but it is with Tamagawa that this almost fifty-year-old, originally from Saint Etienne in France, is the most active, and this, for almost twenty years... Building the mystery around his apartment cell from which he practically never goes out, except to tour a bit everywhere on the planet (more than 300 concerts in Europe, Japan and the United States), Tamagawa records alternating minimalist glittering guitars and analog synths.

At the risk of sounding romantic, listening of Tamagawa (record or concert) could sublimate us : in his music there is an immense solitude, and in itself, silence takes the form of a (minor) key. Emotion is gradually forming in a succession of notes whose infinite purity doesn’t even allow us a beat of the eyelid. We are not far from the atmosphere magnetic of the Paris Texas soundtrack by Wim Wenders. (Aymeric Hainaux)
