Watch The Sour's New Video For 'You'

The Sour are the all-wāhine Aotearoa collective of Lani Purkis (Elemeno P), Jessie Booth (Ekko Park), Jana Te Nahu Owen (Somme) and Tam Matchett (Demons of Noon), whose grunge-punk debut EP Daughters has proven to be a standout local release of this hurly burly year so far. Closing anthem from the EP 'You' gets its turn in the spotlight with a new clip, directed by Kath Gould and made with NZ On Air, a video-diary of classic moments gigging in Tāmaki Makaurau and Te Whanganui-a-Tara. Documenting the band in action on / off stage and all sorts of places in between, experience the mega-catchy big feels of 'You' and look forward to a debut album in the near future from The Sour...

This is a snapshot of our year touring, a love letter to this little group making music and putting on shows. This year saw the release of our first EP, and the first album is on its way. Thank you to everyone who has shared our music, come to a show, bought some merch, voted for us and cranked our tunes on your speakers. This has been really rad - Tam, Jana, Lani, Jessie x

The Sour's 'Daughters' EP is out now on major streaming platforms.
