Come down to Valhalla Wednesday 4th Nov for a storming night of alt rock and punk! Bay legends Paddy and the Cryptids are showing the capital up, with support from locals Axis Moon and Default Mode!
Paddy and the Cryptids are an all original 3-piece punk/new wave band on the Hawkes Bay music scene, made up of members from many different musical incarnations. Just like the Yeti or Sasquatch, science can’t explain them, but what we do know is they arent here to sing you lullabies.
Axis Moon is an Alt-Rock quartet, from Wellington, Aotearoa, New Zealand. Bending genres like psychedelic rock, grunge, and doom into one heavy alternative energy. Axis Moon come in blazing with huge riffs, swirling breakdowns and walls of sound. Drawing influence on bands like Soundgarden, Queens of the Stone Age, and All Them Witches, Axis Moons sound captivates a refreshing yet familiar mystique. A mystique founded on rawness and tenacity.
Default Mode are an alt / noise / freak rock band from Wellington, New Zealand. Unplug, free your mind, reclaim your attention, scroll life. Default Mode write loud, twitchy original songs to get your freak on. Formed in 2024 from the ashes of The Yes Men, and At Risk Youth, with members of Wholesale Drainage, Gravey, Ampersand, Motorsheep, Dukes of Leisure.
