Weekly Roundup: Friday 3rd July

Who could have suspected this week would bring news of a full scale nationwide tour from The Beths [grab tickets while you can], the long-awaited return of our monthly UTR Playlist and even the birth of an exciting new electronic music genre? Announcement highlights included local champs Moral Support revealed an absolutely stacked lineup for the second ever Deep Dive Festival, including Chris Knox, Earth Tongue, Leaping Tiger, Dick Move and lots more, an all-star lineup of Aotearoa artists will perform together this August in tribute to Aaron Tokona at Tāmaki Makaurau's Whammy Bar, heavy metal world beaters Ulcerate have two North Island album release events locked in with Vassafor, Canterbury surf knees up The Mid-Winter Mingle will feature Mini Simmons, Arjuna Oakes and There's A Tuesday bringing the party at Sumner Village Mall in late July, and Wellington garage rockers The Mulls team up with Canterbury's Marsha for a three date, double header EP release tour this coming August.

This week we also revealed the newest update of our UTR app. Our design team (Daryl Fincham) has given it a fresh lick of paint, made it even more intuitive to use, and easy on the eyes too – read all about it and download the app if you haven't already here. This weekend is the latest Bandcamp fee waiving period from 7pm tonight to 7pm Saturday 4th July NZST.
